ECONOMY AND CURRENCY
Costa Rica's economy is dependent on tourism, agriculture and electronics exports. The economy emerged from a recession in 1997 and since then shows an increase forte. A economy of Costa Rica is based mainly on exports of coffee and bananas.
The currency is the Colón (CRC), which is exchanged about 560-580 per U.S. dollar and about 740-780 per euro.
Trading partners of Costa Rica are the U.S., Japan, Germany and Venezuela.
The location of Costa Rica in the Central American isthmus gives you an easy to access U.S. markets, since it lies in the same time zone of the central United States and direct ocean access to Europe and Asia.
